Johnson, Graham (Rhodes) (1950– )

Rhodesian-born English pianist. He studied at the Royal Academy of Music, London, and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London. He made his London debut in 1972. He has accompanied leading singers in recital and was appointed artistic director of the Songmakers' Almanac in 1976. He performs thematically linked recitals with a small group of singers. He has recorded all Schubert's Lieder with Fischer-Dieskau, Lucia Popp, Peter Schreier, and others.
