Johnson, Magnus (1871-1936)

Swedish-born US agrarian reformer, senator, and representative. Active in the farmers' cooperative movement, as a Farmer Labor Party candidate he served in the Minnesota legislature, in the US Senate 1923-1925, and in the House of Representatives 1933-35.

Born near Kalstad, he emigrated to Wisconsin in 1891, settled in Minnesota in 1894 and took up farming.
