Jones, Leonard (Augustus) (1832–1909)

US legal scholar. A prolific writer, his many works remain standard texts of law and are respected for their clarity and continued pertinence. He practiced law privately and served as a judge on the Massachusetts Land Court 1898–1909.

He was born in Templeton, Massachusetts.
