Jost, Isaac Markus (1793–1860)

German historian. Jost was born into a Jewish family in Bernburg, Saxony-Anhalt. He specialized in the history of the Israelites, and his main work was the three-volume Geschichte des Judentums und seiner Sekten/History of Judaism and its Sects, 1857–59.
