June, Ava (1931– )

English soprano. She sang with the Sadler's Wells Theatre, London/English National Opera Ensemble from 1957 as Mozart's Countess and Donna Anna, and as the Marschallin and Sieglinde. She appeared at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London, from 1958. She made her US debut in San Francisco in 1974, as Ellen Orford. Other roles included Leonore, Káta Kabanová, and Donizetti's Elizabeth I. She later became a singing teacher.
