Justin, St (c. 100–c. 163)One of the early Christian leaders and writers known as the Fathers of the Church. Born in Palestine of a Greek family, he was converted to Christianity and wrote two Apologies in its defence. He spent the rest of his life as an itinerant missionary, and was martyred in Rome.
