Köchel, Ludwig (Alois Ferdinand) Ritter von (1800–1877)

Austrian naturalist and music bibliographer. He lived in Salzburg 1850–63 for the purpose of compiling his thematic catalogue of Mozart's works, published in 1862 (sixth edition 1964).
