Königsmark, Philipp Christoph, Graf von Königsmark (1665–1694)| German soldier chiefly remembered as the lover of Sophia Dorothea of Zell, wife of the Electoral Prince, George of Hanover, who later became King George I of Great Britain. Shortly after the affair was discovered and the king divorced his wife, Königsmark was killed, almost certainly by a hired assassin. |
