keaHawklike greenish parrot found in New Zealand. It eats insects, fruits, and discarded sheep offal. The Maori name imitates its cry. Using the large Subaru telescope atop Hawaii's Mauna Kea, researchers recorded a galaxy as it appeared just 780 million years after the Big Bang. Pepperdine ace Kea Kometani pitched seven innings, allowing two earned runs and five strikeouts and Gonzaga's (24-14, 11-4) Josh Monroe threw eight with two earned runs and four strikeouts. In collaboration with the NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center on June 2, 2001, NIST successfully deployed a new type of superconducting detector at the Caltech Submillimeter Observatory at the summit of Mauna Kea, Hawaii. |
