Kabala

Second-largest town in Northern province, Sierra Leone, about 300 km/186 mi northeast of Freetown; population (1985) 179,700. Kabala was the former administrative centre of Northern province and is an important cattle-trading town. Cassava and kola nuts are grown locally.
