| After joining São Paulo at the age of eight, he made his debut with the first team in 2001 at the age of 18 and scored 30 goals in 77 appearances. He signed for AC Milan in 2003 and helped them win the league title in his first year there. In 2007 his performances at Milan helped win the UEFA Champions League and saw him named by UEFA as the Club Footballer of the Year. Later that year he added European Footballer of the Year honours to his World Player of the Year title. |
