Kalichstein, Joseph (1946– )

Israeli pianist. He studied at the Juilliard School, New York, and in 1967 won the Leventritt Competition. He has appeared all over the USA and is a noted interpreter of Brahms, Prokofiev, Chopin, and Bartók. His recordings include the Mendelssohn concertos with André Previn.
