Calliope

In Greek mythology, the Muse of epic poetry, and regarded as the most important of all the Muses. Her symbols were a stylus and tablet.

She is sometimes represented as the mother of Orpheus, the mythical Greek poet and musician.

Simson's poems have appeared in such literary journals and anthologies as Atlanta Review, Kalliope, Comstock Review, Gertrude and Earth's Daughters.
Both are based at the Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin, where a German national project, Kalliope, is also working to provide nationwide open manuscript descriptions.
