Kallir, Lillian (1931– )

Czech pianist. She studied at the Mannes College of Music, New York and appeared with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra in 1948, making her recital debut the following year. She has undertaken tours in the USA, with concerts at the Norfolk, Grant Park and Tanglewood Festivals. The Juilliard, Tokyo and Emerson String Quartets have been chamber music partners. European tours have included concerts with Berlin Philharmonic and Concertgebouw Orchestras and performances at the Royal Festival Hall, London. She has taught at Mannes College since 1975.
