Port on the southeast coast of Sweden; population (1992) 56,900. Industries include paper, matches, and the Orrefors glassworks.

The former Coventry Climax, now known as Kalmar Ltd, has played a large part in the city's manufacturing industry since the 1900s, producing forklift trucks, fire pumps and speciality engines.
