As Buddhists we have read much about Kapilvastu being the home town of the Prince Siddhartha who later became the Buddha. Grandma's ashes was scattered at the base of the stupa in Kapilvastu. Awadhi, the major language of Northern India, is mostly spoken in the Rupandehi, Banke, Bardia and Kapilvastu districts of Nepal. |
