Kapor, Mitchell (1951- )

US entrepreneur and software designer who founded Lotus Development Corporation, a leading business software company, in 1982. Eight years later, he co-founded the Electronic Frontier Foundation, a non-profit-making organization concerned with protecting civil liberties, in particular freedom of speech on the Internet. Kapor is also a professor of media arts and sciences at the Massachussetts Institute of Technology.
