Karakoram

Mountain range in central Asia, divided among China, Pakistan, and India. Peaks include K2, Masharbrum, Gasharbrum, and Mustagh Tower. Ladakh subsidiary range is in northeastern Kashmir on the Tibetan border.

The raisins come from South Africa, the apricots are from the Karakorum Mountains of Pakistan and the Brazil nuts come from Bolivia.
He also took part in a 1996 expedition to Nepal to look for the Yeti and climbed in the Karakorum mountains in Pakistan and the Andes in South America.
