Karfiol, Bernard (1886–1952)

Hungarian-born US painter. He is known for his modernist studies of the human figure, as in Seated Nude 1929.

Born in Budapest of US parents, he studied in New York (1900) and Paris (1901–06), and lived in Irvington-on-Hudson, New York.
