Katō, Kiyomasa (1562-1611)

Japanese warrior and politician who was instrumental in the unification of Japan and the banning of Christianity in the country. He led the invasion of Korea in 1592, and helped Toyotomi Hideyoshi and Tokugawa Ieyasu in their efforts to unify Japan.
