Kathak

One of the four main Indian dance styles (others are Bharat Natyam, Kathakali, and Manipuri). It is primarily concerned with music and rhythm with the story subsumed to secondary importance and is danced on the floor (not on a raised stage) amid a seated audience. The feet of the dancers, adorned by ankle bells, are used as percussion instruments.
