KawasakiIndustrial city of Kanagawa prefecture, Honshu island, Japan; population (2000) 1,250,000. It is situated between Tokyo and Yokohama in the important Keihin industrial zone, the largest industrial zone in Japan, and is a major port for the import of raw materials.
