Kaye, Danny (1913–1987)

US actor, comedian, and singer. He was known for his energy, versatility, and mastery of slapstick comedy. He appeared in many films, including Wonder Man (1944), The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (1946), and Hans Christian Andersen (1952). He had his own television show 1963–67.

He achieved success on Broadway in Lady in the Dark (1940). He received an honorary Academy Award in 1955. He later became involved in humanitarian causes and toured for UNICEF.
