Keenlyside, Simon (1959– )

English baritone. He studied at the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester and won the Richard Tauber Competition in 1986. He sang at first in concert, then appeared with Scottish Opera as Papageno, Billy Budd and Guglielmo. In the 1995 season he appeared as Thomas' Hamlet in Geneva and Mozart's Count at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London. He is a fluent interpreter of Schubert Lieder.
