Kegan, Robert G (1946– )

US psychologist whose studies of cognitive development appeared in numerous books and journals. In later years he broadened his concerns to embrace lifespan development.

He was born in St Paul, Minnesota. He earned a PhD in developmental psychology at Harvard, where he joined the human development faculty of the Graduate School of Education in 1977. He was also on the faculty of the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology, Dedham from 1977.
