Keith

Market town and former burgh in Moray unitary authority, Scotland, situated on the River Isla, 80 km/50 mi northwest of Aberdeen; population (2001) 4,500. It is an agricultural trading centre, with a tweed-manufacturing industry and whisky distilleries, including Scotland's oldest operating malt whisky distillery.

The town was originally a planned development, built after 1750, providing artisan and working-class Georgian housing following a gridiron pattern.
