Kell, Reginald (1906–1981)

English clarinettist. After study at the Royal Academy of Music, London he was principal clarinettist with the London Philharmonic Orchestra under Sir Thomas Beecham, worked at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London, and joined the Philharmonia on its foundation in 1945. From 1948 his career was largely in the USA. He published a clarinet method in 1968.
