Kendall County

County in northeastern Illinois; area 834 sq km/322 sq mi; population (1990) 39,400. Its capital is Yorkville. It produces corn and livestock. The Fox River runs through the northern part of the county, where some Chicago residential development occurred during the 1980s, especially in the township of Oswego.
