Kenna, John

Kenna, John (Edward) (1848–1893)

US representative and senator. He served in the US House of Representatives (Democrat, Virginia) 1877–83 and the Senate 1883–93. He opened the Kanawha River to commercial shipping.

He was born in Kanawha County, Virginia. He was a Confederate army veteran and lawyer.
