Kennett

City and administrative headquarters of Dunklin County, southeastern Missouri, 64 km/40 mi southeast of Poplar Bluff and close to the Arkansas border; population (2000) 11,300. Essentially a Southern city in a cotton-farming region, it gins cotton and processes various other agricultural and forest products.
