Kenyon, Josephine Hemenway (1880-1965)

US paediatrician and columnist. She wrote a monthly column on child care for Good Housekeeping 1924-52 and the book Healthy Babies Are Happy Babies 1934. She gave thorough information to her readers, but still urged them to see their own paediatricians regularly.

She was born in Auburn, New York. She graduated from Johns Hopkins University Medical School in 1904 in a class of 3 women and 42 men. She maintained a private practice in New York City 1911-45 and was active in the Young Women's Christian Association during World War I.
