Kenzo

Kenzo (1940– )

Japanese fashion designer. He has been active in France from 1964. He opened his shop Jungle JAP in 1970, and by 1972 he was well established, known initially for unconventional designs based on traditional Japanese clothing. His fabrics are characterized by rich pattern and colour combinations.

He added perfume and skin care products to his Kenzo brand during the late 1980s. The French luxury goods company LVMH has owned the brand since 1993. Kenzo began selling home furnishings in 2005.

More interestingly, the firm designed Kenzo Tange's website and Moet & Chandon's, but it would be nice to know who is responsible for running this delightful site.
