Khan-Tengri

Snow-capped peak of the Tien Shan mountain range in Central Asia; height 6,995 m/22,949 ft. Khan-Tengri lies in the far northeast of Kyrgyzstan, close to its frontiers with Kazakhstan and the northwestern Chinese province of Xinjiang Uygur.

The first successful ascent of Khan-Tengri was made in 1931 by a team of Ukrainian climbers.
