Kiawah Island

One of the Sea Islands, in south-central South Carolina, on the Atlantic Ocean, 24 km/15 mi southwest of Charleston; length 11 km/7 mi; population (1990) 700. It has several affluent resort developments and is reached by bridge from Seabrook Island.
