Kiesler, Frederick John (1896-1965)

Austrian-born US architect and sculptor. He was known for his innovative architectural designs in Europe and the USA, including the design for the Art of This Century Gallery (1942). He is also known for his environmental and surrealistic sculptures, as in Galaxy 1951.

He was born in Vienna, where he studied architecture, and emigrated to New York City in 1926.
