Killybegs

Fishing port and tourist centre in County Donegal, Republic of Ireland, 27 km/17 mi west of Donegal town; population (2002) 1,400. Killybegs has a natural harbour and is an important centre for the fishing industry, with fish processing and net manufacture. The Killybegs International Sea Angling Festival is held in August. In the west of the town are the remains of a Franciscan friary.

Crownarad Mountain (494 m/1,621 ft) 5 km/3 mi to the west and Drumanoo Head 5 km/3 mi to the south both present panoramic views.
