Kincardine

Kincardine

Town in southern Ontario, Canada, on the east shore of Lake Huron, 193 km/120 mi northwest of Toronto; population (1991) 6,600. It is best known for its harbour and beaches. The Bruce Nuclear Power Development to the north, near Tiverton, is a major employer. Other industries include commercial fishing, dairying, and livestock raising.

One of the oldest settlements in the area, dating from the 1840s, it was a furnituremaking centre until the 1960s.

Lib Dem West Aberdeenshire and Kincardine MSP Mike Rumbles slammed the delay in warning the public that McDonagh was on the loose.
