King, Larry

King, Larry (1933– )

US radio and television presenter. In 1978 he began a national late-night radio programme on the Mutual Network. He was presenter of CNN TV's Larry King Live from 1985, an interview/call-in programme, in which Ross Perot announced his presidential intentions in 1992.

He was born in New York City. A radio broadcaster in Miami at the age of 25, he wrote entertainment columns for the Miami Herald in the 1970s.
