Kingman

City and administrative headquarters of Mohave County, northwestern Arizona, in the northwestern foothills of the Hualapai Mountains; population (2000) 20,100. It is a shipping and trade centre for the area. Principal industries include copper mining, ranching, and tourism. Ghost towns and old gold mines dot the area.

It was founded in 1880, on the Santa Fe Railroad.
