Kinlochleven

Town in northwest Highland unitary authority, Scotland, situated at the head of Loch Leven, 13 km/8 mi southeast of Fort William; population (2001) 900. The town was established in the early 20th century as a result of development of hydroelectric power from the area's water resources, and the construction of smelting works by the British Aluminium Company.
