Kinneir, John Macdonald (1782-1830)

British traveller and diplomat. He published Narrative of Travels in Asia Minor, Armenia, and Kurdistan in 1813-14 1818. He was envoy to Persia 1824-30, and his mediation brought to an end the Russo-Persian War 1827-28.
