Kinross| Mill town in Perth and Kinross unitary authority, Scotland, situated on the west shore of Loch Leven, 14 km/9 mi north of Dunfermline; population (2001) 4,700. Wool and linen textiles are manufactured here. In the 13th century, the town was the principal residence of Alexander III of Scotland. |
