Kinsky, Georg (1882–1951)

German music scholar and editor. Self-taught in music, he worked at first at the Prussian State Library in Berlin and then became curator until 1927 of the Heyer Museum of musical instruments, of which he compiled a valuable catalogue. From 1921 he was also active at the Cologne Conservatory, from which he retired in 1932. His books include a History of Music in Pictures, works on instruments, and a catalogue of Beethoven's works.
