Kirkland

City within the Montréal Urban Community, southern Québec, Canada, near the western end of the Ile de Montréal, adjacent to Beaconsfield and 24 km/15 mi southwest of central Montréal; population (1991) 17,500. It is a growing residential suburb.

Kirkland

City in west-central Washington, on the east shore of Lake Washington, a residential suburb 11 km/7 mi northeast of Seattle; population (1990) 40,100. It is the headquarters of a major cellular telephone company and other businesses. Products include wood, agricultural, and chemical products as well as furniture and paint.

It is the seat of the Northwest College of the Assemblies of God (1934).
