Kirkpatrick, Jeane Duane Jordan (1926–2006)| US politician and professor of political science. She served as US ambassador to the United Nations 1981–85. Originally a Democrat, she often spoke out against communism and left-wing causes. She joined the Republican Party in 1985. |
