Kirschner, Marc Wallace

Kirschner, Marc Wallace (1945– )

US cell biologist. He performed extensive research on cellular microtubule assembly, embryonic induction, and biochemical investigations of nucleic acids and cellular proteins. He taught biochemistry at Princeton University (1972–78), then moved to the University of California, San Francisco (from 1978). Kirschner was born in Chicago, Illinois.
