Kita, Ikki (1883–1937)
| Japanese political activist whose convictions were a mixture of socialism, anti-Westernism. and nationalism. These ideas influenced the young officers who attempted an unsuccessful coup against the government in February 1936. In the subsequent repression, Kita was arrested and executed. |
