Kittl, Johann Friedrich (1806–1868)

Bohemian composer. He was a pupil of Tomašek in Prague, where he gave his first concert, in 1836. In 1843 he succeeded Dionys Weber as director of the Prague Conservatory. His compositions include operas and the Jagdsymphonie.
