    0.02 sec.

Kline, Franz Joseph (1910-1962)

US abstract expressionist painter. He created large, graphic compositions in black and white using angular forms resembling magnified calligraphic brushstrokes - a style derived, in part, from Oriental art. He did not introduce colour into his work until the late 1950s.
