Klotz (lived 17th-18th centuries)

German family of violin makers in Mittenwald, including Matthias (1653-1743), who worked for a time in Florence and Cremona, Italy, but returned to Mittenwald in about 1683; and three sons, Georg (1687-1737), Sebastian (1696-1775), and Johann Carl (1709-1769).

At least 18 members of succeeding generations are known.
